The dream that won't go away

The ground seemed to shake beneath her feet. Her senses became numb. She couldn't move or speak for what seemed like several minutes. Suddenly, the room she was in became crowded. The rustling of leaves on the tree beside the window, students talking loudly, the scraping of benches as people were trying to sit close by. All seemed to be faded on her. Then, a loud clap brought her back, "Take your seats everyone", shouted the professor. "Hey, are you okay?" asked a girl next to her as she took a seat. "I'm fine", the girl replied. She sat there, watching the various activities happening around her. Where was she? How did she get here? She just couldn't remember no matter how hard she tried. Yet, a lot of the faces seemed familiar. The sudden ring of the bell made her realize, she was in fact, in her school. School? But she has already graduated from her school.  She made her way outside. The cold wind hit her face, it was snowing. "It snows...

Stepping out of your comfort zone! ~ what really happens...

The comfort zone. It’s the one thing in our life that makes us who we are and determines our state of mind. You remember the time you got all cuddled up on your couch watching TV on a Sunday morning while your mother cooked breakfast for you. That’s your comfort zone. Or how about the time you went to a class or even your office and spent the whole break hours with your friends. That’s your comfort zone. Washing your underwear, not a comfort zone! Or going to sleep hungry because you can’t go out or make your own food, not a comfort zone! Everyone says, you should get out of your comfort zone to truly find yourself, to truly achieve something. That’s bullshit! The thing is, we have been so coddled by our parents that thought of even coming out of the house and doing our own laundry sends chills down the spine! Hey guys! Before you start reading, here's something you should know about me. I am a typical Indian girl trying to find some rebel in herself and be of free spirit. As everyone says, I am a whacky girl with her own motives and living by her own rules. I cant say I'm a loner, but I am definitely out of the box thinker and strongly disagree with the society norms and rules. So, here's me, sharing some of the stories of my life. Please do get in touch if you want me to write on something particular. Hope you enjoy!

The Most embarrassing night of my life!

Embarrassment. The one thing we always try to avoid and the one thing which probably never will avoid us! Being a typical Indian girl I’ve come across many such situations, but that one night surely overcomes all..     I woke up all excited and with a huge epiphany. Of course I was excited because I was going out to party with my awesome friends. I was all prepared. I had packed up my bag with all the essentials – ‘makeup, lotions, perfume, creams, heels, party dress, etc etc. After the office I went to my friends place.  I spent exactly an hour and a half to get ready.(Pff… and they say women don’t get ready on time) I met my friends and we got ready to go out with a bottle of Blender’s pride! 2 and a half pegs of pure elixir.     We got into a cab and went to a pub. It was the one I had visited on my first night out. It was this cozy little place with nice romantic lightings, a small stage for dancing and a huge bar! Being a localite, this ...
